Course Description:

In this 2-day hands-on training course you will learn the principles of non-linear video editing and how to apply them to projects as diverse as films, documentaries, slideshows, tutorials, music clips, weddings/events, etc., as well as enhance them with titles, transitions and artistic effects.

Learning Objectives:

This course will get you started with the basic concepts of Final Cut Pro and give you a path to continue your mastery of the application. This is a great primer for those seeking their Apple certification.

Who should attend:

FCP users who require a deeper understanding of the software functionality than ad hoc training can provide. Students are allocated enough time time to complete practical exercises. Additional time is available for revision and we explore essential information that does not fall within the standard course curriculum.

The course covers all the elements of a typical editing project. From media management through timeline editing and adding titles, graphics, effects, audio mixing and export options. Learn time saving keyboard shortcuts and become familiar with production terminology.   Final Cut Pro level 2 Advanced course

Course Description

This 2-day, hands-on course teaches students hard-to-find advanced editing and finishing techniques. Learn how to edit multi-camera projects, dive deeper with audio effects, work with compound clips, create video effect presets, understand the 360 video workflow and how HDR color correction works. This course also covers advanced workflows for managing media and sharing and receiving XML's.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for existing Final Cut Pro users who want to increase their skill level through learning advanced features and efficient workflows, and who prefer hands-on and interactive instruction.

Prerequisites

Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:

Knowledge of macOS and basic computer navigation

Which Final Cut Pro Course do I take?

We offer 2 Final Cut Pro courses. A 2-day beginner and a 2-day advanced. Please read the course oulines above to determine which is best for you. We recommend taking the advanced course if you are knowledgable of at least 70% of the beginner course.

Apple Final Cut Pro Onsite Course Options

Wherever your office is located, we can come to you and deliver a private custom Final Cut Pro course. The larger the group the bigger the discount. However we also offer Final Cut Pro training for individuals, either at your corporate headquaters or your home.

For on-site courses, you will need to have a computer with Final Cut Pro and if there are 3 or more delegates, a projection system is required for our Final Cut Pro instructor.

Currently we only offer Public Final Cut Pro courses in the Johannesburg and Cape Town areas. We can however provide a private onsite course or of course an online Final Cut Pro course is also available

Final Cut Pro Online Courses

If you are unable to attend a public Final Cut Pro course, or simply prefer the convenience of an online course, these are regularly offered. For online Final Cut Pro courses you will need Final Cut Pro, an internet connection of 5MB/s or faster and a headset with a mic or use your laptop's built in mic and speakers. All Final Cut Pro course materials are provided digitally. The course is of course, live and fully interactive with engaging teaching.
