Description:

This is a comprehensive two day introduction to Adobe Illustrator. The course has been designed to enable anyone new to Illustrator to produce professional graphics, designs and illustrations. The course covers Illustrator’s sophisticated drawing and text controls, creating complex shapes, using adjustable strokes, using painterly effects and the Image Trace and LivePaint features allowing you to create beautiful, professional artwork and designs.

Adobe Illustrator Advanced you’ll learn all the secrets that illustrators use every day to create vector artwork faster and more accurately. Prerequisites

We highly recommend attending the Adobe Illustrator Beginner course before taking this course. If you have significant experience with Illustrator including good skills with the pen tool, previous attendance is not required. We also recommend that you have the Adobe Illustrator software before starting the course. You can purchase the software or obtain a trial version of it from the Adobe website.

Which Illustrator Course do I take?

We offer 2 Illustrator courses. A 2-day beginner and a 2-day advanced. Please read the course oulines above to determine which is best for you. We recommend taking the advanced course if you are knowledgable of at least 70% of the beginner course.

Adobe Illustrator Onsite Course Options

Wherever your office is located, we can come to you and deliver a private custom Illustrator course. The larger the group the bigger the discount. However we also offer Illustrator training for individuals, either at your office or your home.

For on-site courses, you will need to have a computer with Illustrator and if there are 3 or more delegates, a projection system is required for our Illustrator instructor.

Adobe Illustrator Public Courses

Currently we only offer Public Illustrator courses in the Johannesburg and Cape Town areas. We can however provide a private onsite course or of course an online Illustrator course is also available

Illustrator Online Courses

If you are unable to attend a public Illustrator course, or simply prefer the convenience of an online course, these are regularly offered. For online Illustrator courses you will need Illustrator, an internet connection of 5MB/s or faster and a headset with a mic or use your laptop's built in mic and speakers. All Illustrator course materials are provided digitally. The course is of course, live and fully interactive with engaging teaching.

Illustrator users tend to use the product for specific purposes. We can tailor a course to meet your specific goals.

What else should I learn after my Illustrator course?

Graphic Designers and illustrators will always have other tools in there toolbox. Firstly a drawing/graphic table is almost essential. Photoshop knowledge is almost a must and if you are involved with layout or print, then you should also know Adobe InDesign.

Adobe frequently updates Illustrator and we continue to teach earlier versions for those that have not upgraded
