  Visio Level 1 Course

Course Description

Microsoft Visio Beginners course teaches the basic functions and features of Visio Professional. Students will learn how to use stencils, scale and resize objects, draw basic shapes and compound lines, and arrange objects. They will also learn how to create diagrams, work with text, apply formatting, work with background pages, and set file and print properties. Finally, students will create network and brainstorming diagrams, set shape properties, and create reports.

 

Target Audience

This course is for students who have little or no Visio experience. Students will get the most out of the course if their goal is to become proficient in creating flow diagrams, basic organisation charts and network diagrams.

 

Prerequisites

Good working knowledge of the Windows Operating System and proper IT skills

  Visio Level 2 Course

Course Description

Microsoft Visio Advanced course builds on the concepts and skills taught in Visio: Basic. Students will learn how to work with layers, create custom shapes, themes, stencils and templates, and create business and project management diagrams. They will also learn how to integrate Visio with other Office programs, and create software and database diagrams.

 

Target Audience

The target student for this course should have basic knowledge of Visio Professionals that would like to become proficient in creating technical layouts, business diagrams, network diagrams, Web site maps, software and database diagrams and custom shapes and templates. Students will also learn how to integrate Vision with other applications.

Microsoft Visio Professionals for Beginners or equivalent working experience

Which Visio Course do I take?

We offer 3 Visio courses. A beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each is 1-day. Please read the course oulines above to determine which is best for you. We taking the advanced course if you are knowledgable of at least 70% of the beginner course.

Microsoft Visio Onsite Course Options

Wherever your office is located, we can come to you and deliver a private custom Visio course. The larger the group the bigger the discount. However we also offer Visio training for individuals, either at your offices or your home.

For on-site courses, you will need to have a computer with Visio and if there are 3 or more delegates, a Visioion system is required for our Visio instructor.

Microsoft Visio Public Courses

Currently we offer Public Visio courses in the Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha and Bloemfontein areas. We can however provide a private onsite course or of course an online Visio course is also available

Visio Online Courses

If you are unable to attend a public Visio course, or simply prefer the convenience of an online course, these are regularly offered. For online Visio courses you will need Visio installed, an internet connection of 5MB/s or faster and a headset with a mic or use your laptop's built in mic and speakers. All Visio course materials are provided digitally. The course is of course, live and fully interactive with engaging teaching.

What else should I learn after my Visio course?

Firstly, get the basics done. It is absolutely essential for you to have a good working knowledge of Visio. More and more companies are demanding expertise in Visio, whether it is formula’s, pivot tables or dashboard. Taking the Visio level 2 and level 3 class is highly recommended.
In addition to Visio, most office users will use Visio, Word and Visio.

It’s essential to know Visio and taking an Visio beginner course is the best way to start. What will certainly make a difference though, is your level of expertise in Visio and knowledge of the other Microsoft products.
