  MS Excel VBA course

Course Description

Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) course ware. VBA is a powerful development tool for creating macros in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. By the end of this course, users should be comfortable with creating, recording, editing, and debugging a macro; formatting worksheets using macros; creating an interactive worksheet; and performing custom calculations using VBA.

Target Audience

This course is intended to help all intermediate to advanced Excel users get up to speed quickly with Visual Basic for Applications. We will cover different features of the Visual Basic Editor interface; show users how to record, edit, debug, and manage macros; and learn about the syntax that VBA uses to create macros..

Prerequisites

This course assumes that the user understands the basics of using a Windows-based computer. Students should also be comfortable using the Microsoft Excel 2016 interface, and have a firm understanding of how Excel works and what it is used for. Understanding and experience with formulas, functions, and PivotTables within Excel 2016 is strongly recommended. No previous experience with Visual Basic for Applications is required.

EXCEL COURSE INFORMATION

Which Excel Course do I take?

We offer 3 Excel courses. A beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each is 1-day. Please read the course oulines above to determine which is best for you. We taking the advanced course if you are knowledgable of at least 70% of the beginner course.

Microsoft Excel Onsite Course Options

Wherever your office is located, we can come to you and deliver a private custom Excel course. The larger the group the bigger the discount. However we also offer Excel training for individuals, either at your offices or your home.

For on-site courses, you will need to have a computer with Excel and if there are 3 or more delegates, a projection system is required for our Excel instructor.

Microsoft Excel Public Courses

Currently we offer Public Excel courses in the Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha and Bloemfontein areas. We can however provide a private onsite course or of course an online Excel course is also available

Excel Online Courses

If you are unable to attend a public Excel course, or simply prefer the convenience of an online course, these are regularly offered. For online Excel courses you will need Excel installed, an internet connection of 5MB/s or faster and a headset with a mic or use your laptop's built in mic and speakers. All Excel course materials are provided digitally. The course is of course, live and fully interactive with engaging teaching.

What else should I learn after my Excel course?

Firstly, get the basics done. It is absolutely essential for you to have a good working knowledge of Excel. More and more companies are demanding expertise in Excel, whether it is formula’s, pivot tables or dashboard. Taking the Excel level 2 and level 3 class is highly recommended.
In addition to Excel, most office users will use PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
